Just learning, without the clutter
The interface is simple and intuitive. Firmwater LMS allows the learner to focus on the task at hand — learning. There is no chat, no message board, no built-in email interface to clutter up the experience. They see just the training activities that are assigned to them or are available for self-registration.
Just need a web browser, no plug-ins required
Use any modern web browser (Internet Explorer 6+, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera 8+). No plug-ins are required (unless the content you load to the system requires it) and no Java applets to fight with to get to work.
Integrated assessment engine
Firmwater LMS includes an assessment engine which can be used for testing or surveying your learners.
The engine supports all question types that you would expect:
- multiple choice (single and multi-select)
- fill-in-the blank
- ranking
- free-form
- likert scale
While simple to use for the learner, it offers many advanced options for the assesment author:
- embed multimedia (images, video, audio) in any question or response
- supports question banks from which sections and questions are drawn
- define your own scoring rules at any level
- define what feedback gets generated at any level and how that feedback is presented to the user
